Care Assistant

Job Type:

£9 - £22 Per Hour

At Bluebird Care our Care Assistants have one thing in common, they are all very happy! The reason why they are happy is because we value and respect our Care Assistants.

We provide our Care Assistants a friendly, supportive and professional environment for you to do one important thing – put a smile on the faces of the people who make up your community. We treat our customers like family; we laugh, we share, we engage and we provide that extra bit of support, just like you would with any family member.

Communication is vital when working in care and this is where our team excels. Our Registered Manager has over 30 years experience working in care. She has experienced and shared in all the amazing days that working in care provides and she has been there fore her staff when they need a friendly ear to talk to. We listen, we respond and we always look to make improvements. Her door is always open and this means that there is a great sense of community within the business.

We are proud to support our local community and we truly embody the idea of person centred care and that is the reason why all of our visits are on average 1 hour long and a minimum of 30 minutes – we give you time to care.

Here is how we support/reward our Care Assistants:

  • £8.75p/h weekdays
  • £9.25 p/h weekends
  • Average visit time 1 hour, minimum 30 mins
  • 25p mileage
  • Paid Training
  • Birthday & Xmas cards + gifts

The people we support mean a lot to us and the way we support them is by providing a little bit of extra help in the community on a daily basis. This includes companionship, food preparation, help with medication, trips out, helping people start their day and being a friendly face to have a cup of tea with and share stories – just like you would with your own family.

If you are new to care then don’t worry. We have a well-designed training and support program in place to make sure you are confident in what you do with lots of support over the phone and out in the community.  We have an open-door policy for our Care Assistants and an incredibly well led and supportive management and training team who are always available to help you and listen to your ideas and feedback.

We find that people from Teaching Assistant, Hair Dresser, Nursery Assistant, Charity or Volunteering backgrounds make great carers – so if that’s you then please get in touch.

If you would like to join a company that values its staff and changes people’s lives every day, then please click the apply button and send us your CV. Our friendly Recruitment team will then be in touch to say hello!
