Care and Support Team Member / Care Assistant

3. Get paid in full for all travel and waiting time at the full hourly rate plus mileage is paid at the maximum tax-free rate of 45p per mile.

Hourly pay rates for our Care Assistants:

Full hourly rates are paid for travel, waiting time, induction, training and of course when you're with clients.

  • Average hourly pay: £10.96
  • Full time pay equivalent: Over £21,000
  • Weekdays (daytime): £10.20
  • Weekdays (evening): £10.45
  • Weekends (daytime): £11.45
  • Weekends (evening): £11.85
  • Bank Holidays: £20.40

Shifts for our Care Assistants:

  • A mix of 7am-3pm and 3pm-10pm including working alternate weekends.
  • This is a community-based role so you will be supporting clients across West Wiltshire and Bath & North-East Somerset. We'll always try to keep you as close to home as possible (approx. 10-mile radius of your home if based in our service area) but you’ll be expected to travel in these areas.
  • You need to have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
  • Note – you'll initially be on a zero hours contract just whilst you complete your 3-month training period but there will be plenty of hours available to you during this time.
