Care Assistant

Job Type:

£8 - £21 Per Hour

People ask why I work as a Care Assistant for Home Instead – let me share with you why:

My role is positive – I work in a job that is about positivity and support. I am surrounded by kind colleagues and work with lots of lovely people in my community.

My role is important – My job is to put a smile on someone’s face by providing support in the areas they need it. I help my clients with all aspects of living independently at home.

My role is essential – Without the support of a Care Assistant, many people would be lonely and struggle on their own. I make sure that doesn’t happen.

My role is tough – I’ll be very honest, there can be some really tough days! Imagine having to ask for extra support because you have lost your independence? So sometimes it is understandable when my clients are upset – but luckily I am there to remind them of all the great things in their life.  I also know the Office Team are there to provide fantastic support to me whenever I need it.

My role makes me happy – Not everyone gets to go to work every day knowing they have made a huge difference. Even on the tough days I know that my patience and kindness has helped someone have a better day.

My role is different – No two days are the same as a Care Assistant and that’s why I love what I do.

At Home Instead our Care Assistants are valued members of our team and ambassadors in our community. They put a smile on the face of the people who need some extra help and they know they work in a job like no other.
