At Care in the Vale, we value and respect our Care Assistants and the reason why we have so many Care Assistants who have been with us for over 4 years is because they are happy.  We know how to look after our staff – everyone that joins us becomes part of the team!

The Director previously ran a large chain of homeless shelters, so we are a care provider that is truly focused on care and helping others. All our staff started as carers and all still deliver care – this means that we stay in touch with our staff and everyone helps each other out.

We place a big focus on looking after our Care Assistants; from Birthday Cards, Christmas and Easter gift vouchers, 24/7 access to mass retail, gym and corporate discounts. 

In addition to this we offer regular prizes from our weekly newsletter (including hampers, 02 concert tickets, vouchers and wine).  We always remember to thank our Care Assistants when they go above and beyond with a ‘thank you letter’ and a choice of vouchers, wine or chocolates. 

We know how to value and look after our staff.  We pride ourselves in providing a completely independent counselling and support service to promote physical, mental and financial wellbeing. 

We are right on the high street, with free parking and next to an amazing deli so our Care Assistants are always in and out the office, whether that be for a friendly catch up over a cuppa and a biscuit (we are always well stocked!). Perks and benefits of joining as a Care Assistant

  • Basic hourly rate of £8.20 ph (09h00 – 18h00) 
  • Enhanced rates of £9.20- £10.20 ph for weekends and weekday hours (before 09h00 and after 18h00)
  • 34p per mile 
  • No uniforms 
  • Time and a half is paid on bank holidays. 
  • Up to 28 days’ annual leave with holiday pay 
  • We offer 20, 30 and 40 hour contracts. Guaranteed hours will be subject to availability.
