At Home is Best our Support Workers have one thing in common, they are all very happy! The reason why they are happy is because we value and respect ALL of our Support Workers.
Our big focus is to provide our Support Workers with a friendly, supportive and professional environment for you to do one important thing – put a smile on the faces of the people who make up your community. We treat our customers like family; we laugh, we share, we engage and we provide that extra bit of support, just like you would with any family member.
We have many carers that have been with us since we first opened our doors 6 years ago and the reason why our Support Workers stay with us is because we reward our staff for all of their hard work and we never forget to say thank you (usually with chocolates or wine!).
Our Co-ordinator is particularly popular with our Support Workers. We understand the importance of communication and we make sure that all holiday and off duty requests are dealt with fairly and many of the team are often happy to be flexible to your needs.
Our office has parking, cooking facilities, an endless supply of tea/coffee and biscuits and most importantly we have a staff lounge area and computers available if you would like to go on the internet.

Our customers mean a lot to us, and the way we support them is by providing a bit of extra help to allow them to remain living in the comfort and safety of their own home. This includes companionship, food preparation, help with medication, trips out, support with personal care, assistance with domestic tasks, helping people start their day and being a friendly face to have a cup of tea with and share stories.
If you are new to care then don’t worry. We have a well-designed training and support program in place to make sure you are confident in what you do, with lots of support both over the phone and out in the community.
We have an open-door policy for our Support Workers and an incredibly well led and supportive management and training team who are always available to help you and listen to your ideas and feedback. We want to hear from our staff and we always act on your feedback – we are a responsive employer.
