Under the direction of our Registered Manager, the Care Supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care across our community. You will need to have exceptional people management and communication skills to support and coach our fantastic team of Care assistants. This role will require a great deal of flexibility.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of a Care Supervisor

Working with our Registered Manager, this is largely a field based role to support our Care assistants in maintaining and improving on our high standards of care.

  • Assist the Registered manager with supervising care staff
  • Undertake field observations and spot checks on carers
  • Onboard new Care Assistants and introduce them to clients
  • Provide input for supervisions meetings for carers
  • Understand the detail person centred care plan of each new client and ensure plans are regularly updated
  • Deliver care visits as required
  • Participate in the on-call system on a rostered basis to manage the office on call telephone support service
  • Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered
  • Provide admin support and enquiry management in the office as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of service provision in the care industry
  • Extremely well organised, excellent planning and prioritising ability with high attention to detail
  • NVQ / QCF level 2 or 3 in Health & social care desirable
  • Knowledge of Medication audits
  • Previous care planning experience is essential
