We are looking for someone to join as a Registered Care Manager who wants to grow and develop a Domiciliary Care company based in the Chessington area..

This is a chance to make a business your own, to nurture and shape a service whilst utilising your core skills.

To begin with the new Registered Care Manager will take on a small team of high quality and dedicated staff who will be there to support you whilst you guide them and the business in to its next stage of development.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager/Directors to develop and implement growth strategy whilst ensuring a high level of quality is embedded throughout the entire service. You will have the Operations Manager’s full support and it is a unique opportunity to have a perfect balance of flexibility to direct the business and support you whilst you guide them and the business in to its next stage of development.

You will also be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality with the view to achieving an overall rating of Outstanding form CQC. It is essential you understand the Key Lines of Enquiry for CQC and the essential standards set by the Care Quality Commission that quality is maintained at all times with both customers and carers.

Your main Duties & Responsibilities of the Care Manager are as follows

  • Guaranteeing the safe and legal delivery of care services
  • Upholding standards in service delivery
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Managing the office’s coordination team
  • Executing recruitment plan & procedures
  • Recruiting and training care staff
  • Organising/Delivering Care Worker Induction Training
  • Arranging regular staff meetings
  • Ensuring full compliance throughout the business
  • Safeguarding the day-to-day running of the business
  • Keeping records in accordance with legal requirements
  • Monitoring all appropriate assessments of new customers
  • Facilitating reviews of client requirements in accordance with guidelines
  • Implementing supervisions and appraisals
  • Guaranteeing quality control measures on an on-going basis
  • Managing the complaints procedure
  • Working within agreed budgets and ensuring efficiency
  • Taking part in on-call duties on a rota basis
  • Ensuring all emergency issues are dealt with effectively

Requirements of a Care Manager:

  • Experience in domiciliary care is essential
  • Previous experience in growing a service is desirable
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or working towards
  • Driving license and own transport
  • Previous experience in managing a service
